Hippie Rhino

With the embroidery file ‘Hippie Rhino’ you get another incredibly charming embroidery design in the style of colourful sewing painting.

This wonderfully cute rhinoceros was created based on a watercolour painting by Sabine Weuthen from Smart-Thread.de. With Sabine’s kind permission, I am allowed to turn her watercolour animals into embroidery motifs and offer them here.

This motif is really something very special, because the fine outline drawn in one go is an absolute eye-catcher! I have done my utmost to realise this feature true to the original. The colourful confetti makes the cute hippie animal look wonderfully colourful. However, if this is all too colourful for you, you are welcome to leave out the confetti.

The embroidery steps are designed so that the confetti is embroidered at the very end – and if you don’t like that, simply omit the last embroidery steps.

Whether you embroider the hippie rhino on funny pennants or clothing, it is always a special eye-catcher. But it doesn’t just come into its own on the textiles mentioned above, but also on bags of lights or gift bags or even on towelling. Of course, you can also change the colours for the entire motif and thus conjure up a completely new image again and again.

If you would like to embroider this design on towelling (or other high-pile fabrics), you will find a separate file for this purpose in the folder. As the fine contour lines would sink into a high-pile fabric, a separate file with an underlay grid is included especially for this purpose.

I recommend that you embroider this grid (1st embroidery step in the corresponding file) in the exact colour of the fabric – including the bobbin thread in the fabric colour! This will give you a beautiful embroidery result without the details sinking into the fabric.
