The special feature of this sloth is the fine outline drawn in one go. Of course, I have done everything to implement this feature also true to the original.
Through sparse colored details, the embroidery motif is perfectly suited to find its place on light fabrics and is thus relatively quickly stitchable. Please pay attention to the choice of your fabric color, because on too dark fabrics chosen the chilly sloth comes across not so impressive. Please note when positioning that the motif is stored rotated by 90 °, in order that all embroidery machines can recognize the motif.
If you would like to embroider this design on terry cloth (or other high pile fabrics), you will find a separate file in the folder for this purpose. Since the fine outlines would sink into a high pile fabric, a separate file with a backing grid is included specifically for this purpose. I recommend to embroider this grid (1st embroidery step in the corresponding file) exactly in the color of the fabric – also the bobbin thread in fabric color! This way you get a beautiful embroidery result without the details sinking into the fabric.
This wonderfully cute sloth was created from a waterscolor painting by the lovely Sabine Weuthen of Smart-Thread.com. With the kind permission of Sabine, I may process her aquarelle animals into embroidery designs and offer them here.
